“Eat some ginger” is something my grandmother used to tell me often. “What’s it good for?” I asked. She smiled knowingly, “everything.”
My grandmother was a very smart woman. Despite all the new products on the market claiming to heal, soothe, and repair, ginger still stands out as one of the top ingredients in terms of health. Add it to your food, use it in an enema, or drink it as a tea, and you will feel the difference.
Benefits of ginger
Relief from nausea. Ginger is well-known for its ability to soothe the stomach and support healthy digestion, making it particularly effective in relieving nausea. It’s especially helpful during pregnancy, when queasiness can be a frequent challenge. Ginger offers natural, gentle relief.
Help with bloating and gas. Digestive discomfort caused by bloating, gas, and constipation can be both physically uncomfortable and socially awkward. Ginger supports smoother digestion by reducing fermentation in the gut, which in turn minimises the build-up of gas. It can also stimulate movement in the digestive tract, helping to address the root causes of constipation.
Reduces stress. Thanks to its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds, ginger can help lower physical and mental stress levels. It may also play a role in boosting serotonin production, a key hormone that promotes feelings of calm and happiness, making it a great addition to a balanced routine for emotional wellness.
Helps with colds and flu symptoms. Packed with antioxidants, ginger is a natural ally in keeping your immune system strong. Its warming properties and active compounds help the body defend against common illnesses like colds and the flu, while also relieving symptoms like congestion and sore throat.
Improves circulation and inflammation. Ginger contains active ingredients that help relax blood vessels and reduce inflammation throughout the body. By promoting healthy circulation and calming inflammatory responses, ginger contributes to improved cardiovascular function and overall vitality.
