From Locked‑In Syndrome to Living Again, The One Daily Ritual That Changed Everything

Jan 30, 2026Kyah Seary

In August of 2024, my entire life changed. I had a stroke that left me completely paralysed with something called Locked‑in Syndrome. Eventually we learned the cause was Lyme disease, and on top of that, I had been sick with COVID for 20 days.

Lyme had likely been dormant for years, but covid weakened my immune system enough for it to flare up dramatically, thickening my blood and making clots inevitable. It had triggered numerous blood clots, and one lodged in my brainstem, causing the stroke.

Before all of this, I was in the gym five days a week, fit, athletic, and feeling great. I caught covid in February, and although I recovered, I never felt quite right afterward. Something was off. I stopped going to the gym, and by August, I had the stroke. I had to relearn everything - walking, talking, basic movement, through months of physical therapy.

Fast‑forward to January 2025 where I travelled to the Lyme Mexico Clinic in Puerto Vallarta, led by Dr. Omar Morales for six weeks of treatment. My whole family came, and we turned it into an adventure. That’s where I was first introduced to coffee enemas. I only had a few while I was there, and because I felt so sick at the time, I didn’t notice much from them. It was just one part of a very intense treatment routine.

When I came home, I felt ok for about three months - until I was reinfected by another tick and relapsed. My spike protein levels were high, I developed fibromyalgia, and daily pain became my new normal. Healing became a full‑time job.

In November, we went to Germany for more treatment, including apheresis (blood washing). There, I met several women who insisted that coffee enemas needed to be part of my daily routine. they kept saying the same thing: "You have to do coffee enemas daily - It's a game changer." They pointed out that I was doing everything else right like red light therapy, saunas, all the things, but this was the missing piece.

So I told my husband I wanted a coffee enema kit for Christmas. I had already followed your brand and loved what you stood for, so I decided to get the full kit.

I committed to doing one every day for the entire month of January. And even though I’m only a month in, the difference has been night and day.

Detoxing daily isn’t easy, but I promised myself I’d stick with it.

Am I completely healed? No. But my energy has skyrocketed, so much that I have to remind myself to slow down because I’m still healing. I have the energy to walk again, to get up and move, to live. It makes me emotional because I’ve tried so many things and never felt such a dramatic shift.

Honestly, when I first saw “coffee enema” on my schedule in Mexico, I wanted to run. But once you’re in that room, you just think, “I want to feel better. If this is part of the process, I’m doing it.” I only did one a week back then, so I didn’t notice much. But after hearing so many women share their experiences, I finally understood why they swore by it.

Now I’m the one telling my friends, “Try coffee enemas! Detoxing is your first step.” Most of them say they’re not ready, and I just laugh and tell them they’ll get there.

I’ve mastered my morning routine, so it takes me maybe 10 to 15 minutes in the morning. Then I hop in the shower and start my day feeling lighter, clearer, better.

Keeping my liver supported and everything moving has made such a difference. Even my friends have noticed, they keep telling me how much more energy I have.

Out of all the supplements, therapies, and tools I’ve tried, this has been the icing on the cake for me.

Thank you for sharing my story

Robyn
