Happy Bum Co Products for Breastfeeding, TTC, Pregnancy & Postpartum

If you're anything like me, motherhood hit your gut, your hormones, your energy and your digestion like an absolute freight train. Nobody warned me that after birth, my insides would feel like they were trying to completely renegotiate their lease. And when you're breastfeeding or trying to fall pregnant, every single decision suddenly feels like it carries the weight of the world.

So if you've been eyeing off Happy Bum Co products and thinking...

"Okay but... can I actually take this while I'm breastfeeding?"

or

"Is this safe if I'm trying for another baby?"

Mama, I hear you. I've asked those exact same questions. Three times over, actually.

I'm Kyah, founder of Happy Bum Co and mum of three beautiful, wild, completely exhausting little humans. I've been through three very real pregnancies and three natural births and I used coffee enemas and our products throughout all of it. So when I say I get it, I genuinely, deeply get it.

Let's walk through this together, mum to mum, no fluff, no fear. Just real talk about what's generally supported, what to be mindful of, and how to feel like yourself again.

A quick note before we dive in: We're not doctors and this isn't medical advice. What we share here is general guidance on how mums commonly use our products during breastfeeding, pregnancy, TTC and postpartum. Please always check in with your healthcare provider if you're unsure, you know your body and your baby best.

The Honest Truth About Enemas (From Someone Who's Done One in Labour)

I know. I know. But hear me out.

I had been doing coffee enemas for years before I fell pregnant and honestly? I truly believe they were one of the biggest game changers in my fertility journey. So when I fell pregnant I felt completely comfortable continuing with water enemas throughout.

If you're brand new to enemas, I completely understand that might feel intimidating. But enemas are so gentle, so natural and so incredibly supportive for your body. I did water enemas right before I gave birth to relieve pressure and clear the way and my midwives were totally on board. Give your body support, and your body will thank you. That's what I know to be true after doing this three times.

Breastfeeding-Safe Happy Bum Co Products (Mum-Tested, Mum-Loved)

These are the gentle, gut-loving products that breastfeeding mums reach for again and again because they're natural, they're supportive and honestly, they just help you feel human again.

1. Gut Food

Think of this as your gut's daily nourishment. Everything you need in one easy scoop to feel nourished, energised and like yourself again. It's a high-strength probiotic with the bonus of organic plant protein and whole foods all rolled into one.

Gut Food is safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding and it's genuinely the one thing that made me feel like my digestion wasn't completely on strike anymore. Because it has protein in it, it helps keep you full, supports muscle and tissue repair, and protein is absolutely essential for hormone production too. All natural, no fillers, made with organic plant protein and organic veggie powders.

It's perfect if you're dealing with any of these (and let's be real, postpartum mums are usually dealing with all of them): bloating, sluggish digestion, feeling "off" after birth, low energy, sugar cravings, or wanting to rebuild your gut from the inside out.

2. Daily Fibre

If you've ever tried to go to the toilet postpartum... you already know why this one matters. Daily Fibre is gentle, natural and breastfeeding-friendly. It helps keep things moving and soft without any harshness. The more you eliminate, the better you feel and when you're breastfeeding around the clock or chasing a toddler while keeping a newborn alive, getting enough fibre from food alone is genuinely hard. This one makes it easy.

3. ConstaClear

A magnesium oxide-based formula that softens stools without harsh stimulants. It works by drawing water into the bowel to make movements easy and comfortable. If you've been constipated, feeling blocked or just heavy and uncomfortable, this is an absolute must. I travel with this. Safe for breastfeeding and a genuine lifesaver when your digestion is still recovering from pregnancy and birth. I recommend taking them at night so you wake up to a much happier morning.

4. Happy Gal Tea + All Tea Blends

Herbal, immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory and healing. Happy Gal Tea is our only pregnancy-safe blend, which means it can be used as both a drink and an enema blend during pregnancy. Our other teas are not pregnancy-safe, but are generally fine to enjoy while breastfeeding and give your body that extra herbal love it's craving.

5. Happy Hydrate

Okay, I need to talk about this one because I am genuinely, deeply jealous that you get to use this and I didn't have it during my pregnancies. Happy Hydrate is the hydration hero I wish existed during all three of mine. I had to buy coconut water by the can. You get this, and it is liquid gold for breastfeeding mums. Proper hydration keeps your milk supply healthy, your energy up and your bowels moving because hydration truly is the secret weapon behind all of it. During labour, during those cluster feeding nights, during those long breastfeeding stretches that feel like they'll never end... Happy Hydrate is your best friend. Rich in electrolytes and minerals, it supports your nervous system, your fluid balance and your whole body through every single stage.

Coffee Enemas & Breastfeeding: The Real, Mum-to-Mum Truth

Let's talk about the thing everyone whispers about in the mum groups.

Coffee enemas can be absolutely incredible postpartum for energy, mood, liver support, hormone balancing, that wired-but-exhausted feeling, constipation, bloating and stress relief. But timing matters, and here's the general guidance we share with our community.

For coffee enemas, wait until baby is at least 5 weeks old. Tiny newborn digestive systems can be sensitive to caffeine, so we generally recommend holding off in those early weeks. Water enemas are completely fine though and I personally did water enemas in labour and the day after giving birth to help clear the path.

After 5 weeks you can generally do coffee enemas away from feeds. The toxins released don't cross into breast milk because they're eliminated straight out through the bowel. You can also choose a herbal enema blend if you'd prefer to avoid caffeine entirely.

And honestly? When I finally did my first postpartum coffee enema after baby number three, I felt like someone had switched the lights back on inside my brain. With the sleep deprivation and constant night wakes, they became an absolute essential for me. It's like giving your liver a pep talk, your hormones a little boost and your gut a good, solid clean-out. All at once.

ParaClear: When to Use It (And When to Wait)

ParaClear is powerful. It's a deep herbal parasite cleanse for threadworm and pinworm and because herbs can pass through breast milk and may affect taste or supply, we recommend waiting until baby is at least 8 months old and you're feeding less frequently. This gives your milk supply time to fully stabilise and keeps baby's tummy happy. We don't recommend para cleansing during pregnancy at all.

ParaClear is safe to give to kids 2 and older. Just keep in mind it contains Black Walnut, which is a tree nut, so please check for any allergies before giving it to little ones.

TTC & Pregnancy: What's Generally Considered Safe

If you're trying to conceive or already pregnant, you want gentle, supportive and gut-friendly. These are the products that are generally considered safe and that your body will absolutely thank you for: Gut Food, Daily Fibre, ConstaClear, water enemas, Happy Gal Tea, Gut Scrub and Happy Hydrate.

These support digestion, help with constipation, improve nutrient absorption and give your body everything it's begging for during those hormonal shifts. Bloated and uncomfortable? Gut Scrub is a complete no-brainer.

Coffee enemas during pregnancy? Best to wait until after birth. Coffee enemas are a strong liver detox and water enemas are a much gentler, more appropriate option during pregnancy.

ParaClear during TTC or pregnancy? It's a strong detox, so save it for after bub is older and breastfeeding isn't as frequent. During pregnancy it's a definite no. Gut Scrub is a much safer and gentler alternative for mild para cleansing and bloating support.

Coffee enemas and fertility? This is something I feel really passionate about sharing. I truly believe coffee enemas were a game changer for my own fertility. They can help optimise hormones and support liver health, both of which matter enormously when you're TTC. That said, once you know you're pregnant, it's best to switch to water enemas and save the coffee for after birth.

Mum-to-Mum Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me

Your gut is the command centre. When your gut is off, everything feels off. Mood, hormones, energy, patience. All of it. Supporting your gut postpartum isn't a luxury. It is survival. Nutrition is also absolutely key to producing milk, having energy and feeling like a human being again.

You don't need to "bounce back." You need nourishment, not pressure. Don't be too hard on yourself if your body doesn't look like the Instagram version of postpartum in the first few weeks. Your main job right now is to nourish your baby and yourself. Gentle daily gut support, fibre, hydration, Gut Food and teas works so much better than any extreme detox. Make sure you're going to the toilet every day (hello ConstaClear, Daily Fibre and enemas) and nourish yourself with whole foods and herbal teas. When you feel good, the rest follows naturally.

Hydration is your secret weapon. Especially when you're breastfeeding. Reach for Happy Hydrate, coconut water and mineral-rich teas to support your milk supply, your energy and your bowels. Coconut water also has natural potassium which supports your nervous system and fluid balance. Proper hydration really is the foundation of everything.

Coffee enemas can be a postpartum sanity-saver. Once you're past the 5-week mark, they can genuinely help you feel clearer, calmer and more like yourself. We set the bar around here when it comes to self-care, showing our kids that our health matters too. And yes, doing a coffee enema while your baby naps on your tummy absolutely counts.

You are not doing this alone. Every single mum is figuring it out as she goes. Even the ones who look like they've got it completely together. They don't. None of us do. And that's okay. The mess and the chaos and the doing-your-best is all part of it.

From One Mum to Another

You deserve to feel good in your body again, mumma. Please make the time, take the supplements and invest in your own health. It might feel selfish. It is the very opposite of selfish.

Happy Bum Co products are designed to be gentle, natural and mum-friendly at every single stage. TTC, pregnancy, breastfeeding, postpartum and beyond. We've got you.

And if you ever feel unsure, reach out. Our community is here and so am I.

Happy detoxing, happy healing and wishing you the most beautiful motherhood journey. 🌿
