I started the Happy Bum Co. because I wanted to help people who were suffering with their gut health issues just like me. At the age of 16, I was told by my doctor that the only option left for me was to have 90% of my bowel removed.
I had suffered with severe constipation for many years and at the age of 13, I was diagnosed with colonic inertia, and my bowel had stopped moving entirely.
For years, I lived in constant pain and embarrassment while I tried every laxative, every medication, every invasive test. Only to have the doctors tell me that surgery was my only option and there was no guarantee. Coming from a medical family, both my parents were doctors and they knew a surgery like this would be life altering and that we had to find another way.
I felt hopeless and alone, and not to mention the other health implications I was experiencing from having a toxic bowel. I had skin breakouts, PCOS, hormonal issues, low thyroid, chronic fatigue, and weight issues just to name a few. Out of desperation my mom came across a colon hydrotherapy clinic where we lived and I went in for my first colonic. I couldn’t believe it. I experienced instant relief and all it took was some purified water. Why had we never been told about this? I couldn't believe that something so simple and natural was the answer I was looking for.
Although colonics were providing relief and helping to detoxify my body, I still needed support at home. My colon hydrotherapist taught me how to do enemas, and for the first time I finally had control of my gut health and the freedom to live a normal life. My health completely transformed. The better I felt, the more I wanted to learn. I changed lifestyle, my diet, and completely detoxified my life. I then discovered the added health benefits of coffee enemas which was the missing piece.
My skin cleared, brain fog lifted, my pain was gone, and I was able to fall pregnant naturally which was something I was told I would never be able to do. I went on to become a colon hydrotherapist because I wanted to help others just like me discover the power of detoxification.
When I shared my story online, people from all over the world started reaching out for help and that is how Happy Bum Co began. I wanted to make it easy to talk about gut health, take away the shame and embarrassment, and give people real solutions to take back control of their gut health.
I never wanted anyone feel like I did, especially when the answer was so simple. Happy Bum Co. is now a leader in at home enema and detox solutions worldwide and our community continues to grow every day. I am so grateful that I get to do the work that I do, working with the top leaders in wellness, inspiring and teaching others how to detox with coffee enemas.
