My-First-Water-Enema

My First Water Enema

After my interesting first experience doing a coffee enema, I decided it was time to try a water one. Luckily, doing it this way around meant the whole process seemed so much easier to me.

There’s a lot of nerves around your first enema. Quick Google searches that lead you down some ominous rabbit holes juxtapositioned next to Google searches where it changed people’s lives. Confusion about whether you’re doing the process correctly even though you’ve read all the articles and watched all the videos. Embarrassment at yourself for still making stupid mistakes and not being able to hold even though most first-timers can’t hold the whole time.

My second enema was a lot easier in preparation, but a lot different in terms of how I felt after. This shows that what your body needs one day might be different to what it needs the next.

My third enema, today’s one, was a water one. I was curious to feel the difference. Of course, by now, I felt like a seasoned pro. There was no anxious Googling. No forgetting to use the clamp. I simply got my water ready, poured it into the bag, and lay down.

Quick tip (because I’m pro enough now to give tips out, it seems): Before you do your enema, run some water through the bag to make sure everything is on properly and to release any air bubbles. Also, if it’s your first time, practice using your clamp. This all takes less than a minute to do and will help avoid any silly errors.

I’m pretty small, and I already had a bowel movement that day, so I decided one litre of water was enough for me. The kits are designed to hold 2 litres though, in case you feel like you need more.

According to the website, some people like to hold their water enemas, but you don’t have to. Thank goodness for that because I needed to release straight away. I’ll be honest, I thought I would simply release all the liquid and nothing else. I was quite confident that I didn’t have much else in there. Turns out I was wrong. And a quick look at my stomach before and after proved that fact!

I think the next time I do a coffee enema I’ll start off with a water one, simply to flush the colon out first. This is a great idea for anyone who is highly constipated. I’m also going to add my enema bag to my suitcase whenever I go travelling. I don’t know about you, but I struggle to go whenever I’m away from home. It’s like my entire body goes on a vacation and stops working. Now that I know how easy it is to do a water enema, it’s going to become a great new travel companion for me.

I’m converted. I’ll be doing coffee enemas for all those extra benefits they bring, but it’s nice to know I can do a water enema when I have less time, if I’m out of coffee, or if I need a helping hand on my next holiday!
