Hormonal Imbalances? Why Coffee Enemas Help.

Did you know that studies show 80% of women experience hormonal imbalances? Most of which without even realizing? Symptoms such as heavy periods, irregular cycles, PMS symptoms, painful periods, bloating, decreased sex drive are all indicative of hormone imbalances (Mullin, C. 2018., MD, FACOG, IVF Director).

These are frighteningly common symptoms but not something we, as women, should have to live with. Let’s go back to basics.

A hormone is a chemical messenger made by glands in the body. They control the actions of certain cells or organs. During our menstrual cycle we have three phases: the follicular phase, ovulatory phase and the mid-luteal phase. During the follicular phase, both estrogen and progesterone levels are low. As we start to enter the ovulatory phase, estrogen starts to rise and progesterone levels stay low. Once we ovulate, our progesterone levels rise in the mid-luteal phase. Progesterone is an antidepressant, anti diuretic and aids in thyroid function. Unfortunately, although we have a period, we do not always ovulate. This leads to a drop in progesterone and a rise in anxiety and depression (McLaughlin MB, Jialal I., 2021)

When a hormone has connected to the receptor site, it gets used. Once the hormone has been used, it needs to be excreted from the body. It is our liver and our intestines’ job to deal with oestrogen once it has been used. If our liver is overloaded, it can not properly convert oestrogen from a fat soluble substance to a water soluble substance. Therefore it can not be processed and it gets reabsorbed back into the body. Once reabsorbed back into the body, the oestrogen causes problems such as bloating, swelling, heavy periods, sore breasts, PMS, irregular cycles, decreased sex drive and more (Samavat, H., & Kurzer, M. S.,2015)

Oestrogen dominance is something that has become quite common in young females. Signs of Oestrogen dominance include; heavy/painful periods, PCOS, stress and nutrient deficiencies. It has been shown that excess oestrogen can also cause endometriosis (Samavat, H., & Kurzer, M. S., 2015) As you can see, it is extremely important to be able to detoxify and remove excess oestrogen from your body, and also help to boost progesterone levels.

Here at Happy Bum Co, we feel passionately about the importance of liver detoxification and hormone balancing. That is why we have created our Women’s Hormone bundle – which comes with our Coffee Enema and our Hormone Balancing blend; as well as the tools you need to complete your Enemas and Bulbs. It sounds scary to start with, but trust us when we say they are so easy and once you try one you won’t turn back! Each kit comes with step by step instructions to guide you every step of the way.

Why Coffee Enemas?

Coffee enemas help boost phase 1 and 2 liver detoxification to assist in breaking down the excess hormones into less harmful substances and removing them from the body safely. When our liver becomes overloaded, it struggles to break down substances and then recycles them back into the body in their harmful state. Not only do coffee enemas help to open up detoxification pathways, but they also boost your glutathione levels by approximately 600-700%. Glutathione is one of the body’s most important and potent antioxidants made up of amino acids – glutamine, glycine and cysteine. Glutathione is produced in the liver and is involved in many functions of the body. It plays a huge role in the detox process and has been used to treat acute poisoning and liver disease (Son, H., Song, H. J., Seo, H. J., Lee, H., Choi, S. M., & Lee, S. ,2020)

Our Women’s Hormone Blend is made up of ingredients that can promote healthy hormone levels and assist with PMS, irregular periods, mood swings, painful periods and menopause. The ingredients in our Women’s Blend are: Beetroot, Siberian Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Fenugreek, Lemon juice and Maca. As an example, Beetroot has been proven to remove excess oestrogen and testosterone from the body and boost progesterone levels. Studies have found that including beetroot into your diet on a regular basis has a profound impact on our sex hormones (Sarfaraz, S., Ikram, R., Osama, M., & Anser, H. ,2020)

As you can see, using enemas with therapeutic solutions such as Coffee and the Women’s Hormone Balance blend to open our detoxification pathways can significantly benefit our bodies ability at regulating estrogen levels and naturally reducing symptoms of hormone imbalance.

We see women each and every day reaping the benefits of simply doing coffee enemas from home. It’s time to feel our best and stop suffering in silence!
